The Space

The Cottage is a beautifully restored 1894 stone cottage that blends timeless country character with thoughtfully updated modern comforts. Original stone walls, rustic textures and charming historic details have been carefully preserved, creating a warm and welcoming retreat full of authentic farmhouse charm.

The cottage features one beautifully styled bedroom, including a spacious master with a luxurious king bed and two king singles, all designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. The modern bathroom offers a fresh, elegant space with quality finishes and everything you need for a comfortable stay.

At the heart of the home is a fully equipped contemporary kitchen, complete with modern appliances and all the essentials for cooking and entertaining during your stay. Whether you’re preparing a slow breakfast or sharing a wine-filled dinner with friends, the space is designed for easy country living.

Surrounded by peaceful countryside and 14 acres of open farmland, The Cottage offers the perfect balance of heritage charm, modern convenience and relaxed rural living. Guests are welcome to explore the property, enjoy the open space and take in the beautiful surroundings during their stay. There is also a creek located in the backyard, perfect for exploring, fishing, or launching a small kayak or boat for water recreation at your own risk.

Please note there are two other accommodation properties located on the estate, and we kindly ask all guests to be mindful and respectful of others staying on the property.

Travelling with a larger group? All three properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests in total. The entire estate is also available for intimate events, celebrations, family gatherings, corporate retreats and special occasions. Please contact your host directly for further information, availability and event requirements.

Additionally, this property offers a unique opportunity for families and groups to bring up to two caravans at an additional charge of $110 per person, subject to prior approval and arrangement with your host.

Guest Access

Guests who book The Cottage enjoy exclusive access to the entire home. There are also an additional two other holiday homes on the property, each with its own independance. The Cottage offers the perfect balance of shared spaces and privacy, ideal for groups of friends or families travelling together.

While we won’t be on-site during your stay, we are always available via platform messaging if you have any questions, need local recommendations, or need assistance with anything during your stay. We have a guide book for your convenience on our Airbnb profile and we will be happy to check in with you when you arrive to make sure everything is perfect. We are a message away if you need anything!

Other things to note

– Quiet hours are strictly observed from 10 PM to 8 AM—please respect our neighbours and fellow guests.
– Parties and events are not permitted. – The maximum guest occupancy is 10 people and must not be exceeded.
– For safety, please ensure all fires are fully extinguished before leaving the property. The outdoor fire door mustbe supervised at all times. Kindly follow the fire safety instructions provided in the handbook.

Please be aware that the fire danger season typically runs from November through May. Fires are strictly prohibited on Total Fire Ban days. Guests are responsible for checking current fire restrictions online before lighting any fire. Any fines incurred due to non-compliance during your stay will be your responsibility, and the property owners are not liable for these penalties.

Pets:

Pets are welcome by prior arrangement and subject to mutual agreement with the host. A standard pet fee of $100 per stay applies and is not included in the initial booking cost. Guests are responsible for supervising and caring for their pets throughout their stay, including cleaning up after them both inside and outside the property. Any damage, excessive cleaning, or additional maintenance required as a result of a pet’s stay may incur further charges.

Getting Around

Getting around is easy from Currency Creek. There are many beaches, walking trails and local cafés that you can reach with car access, while Victor Harbor and Port Elliot are a short drive along the coast.
