Looking for the perfect getaway for your family or group? The Boat House is your ideal choice! This newly renovated, spacious home comfortably accommodates 8 guests, making it perfect for family vacations, group getaways, or a friends’ retreat. There is also the option to open a fourth bedroom, featuring a FUN bunk room that sleep 5 additional guests hosting up to 13 guests in Total. Please notify your host if you require this room to be unlocked. For groups of 8 or less, the bunk room (the fourth bedroom) will automatically be locked in order to minimise cleaning fees. For bookings of over 8 guests, a fee of $35 per additional guest will automatically apply. If you are staying with a group of 8 or less and still wish to use the bunk room, please inform your host in advance otherwise it will remain closed by default. Please note, only registered guests are permitted on-site.

The home features two beautiful outdoor decks, each offering its own unique outlook and purpose, located on either side of the house.

The first deck overlooks the lush garden and fire pit area, creating a perfect space for gathering and entertaining. It’s set up with a dining table and chairs, making it ideal for alfresco meals, evening drinks, or simply relaxing while enjoying the garden surroundings.
The second deck looks out over a stunning mature fig tree, offering a quieter, more peaceful spot. It’s furnished with two comfortable lounge chairs, making it a lovely place to soak up the morning sun with a coffee, read a book, or enjoy a moment of calm.
These two outdoor areas offer the best of both worlds – one for socialising and shared meals, and the other for peaceful moments and reflection.

Master Bedroom (Upstairs): Enjoy ultimate privacy in this light-filled master suite with a king-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, and TV – perfect for winding down after a day of exploring.

King Bedroom (Downstairs): Another king-sized bed, TV, and a fresh, modern bathroom just steps away for added convenience.

Queen Bedroom (Downstairs): Featuring a comfortable queen-sized bed with a fun bunk bed for extra sleeping space.

Bunk Room (Downstairs): This fun and spacious room features 4 single beds across two bunk beds and a nook with a king single bed, each with lights and power points for convenience (the bunk room can be unlocked as per the arrangements mentioned above- please reach out if you have any questions regarding the bunk room).

Guest Access

Guests have exclusive access to the entire property.

The Boat House comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests, with a maximum capacity of 13 guests upon approval.

Guest Access:

Groups of 8 or fewer will not have access to the bunk room (the fourth bedroom) unless arrangements have been made with your host. For bookings with 8 or more guests, the bunk room will automatically be opened and a fee will apply for each additonal guest.

You’ll have full access to the entire home, including:

Living Room: Relax in the spacious living room with comfortable seating and entertainment options (e.g., TV, streaming services, games etc.).

Kitchen: Feel free to use the fully equipped kitchen. It includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and all the necessary cookware and utensils. Please clean up after using the kitchen.

Bedrooms: Each bedroom is set up with fresh linens and towels for your comfort.

Bathrooms: All bathrooms are stocked with basic toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Additional towels and toilet paper can be found in the linen closet.

Outdoor Space: You’re welcome to use the patio, garden, balcony, etc during your stay. Please be mindful of noise and respect the neighbours.

BBQ: The BBQ is available for your use. Please clean the BBQ after use to keep it in good condition for the next guest. If the BBQ is left dirty, an added cleaning fee will be applied.

Laundry: If your stay is long-term, feel free to use the washing machine in the laundry room. Please use the provided detergent and return everything to its place once you’re done.

Wi-Fi: High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The network name and password are located on the fridge

Parking: You have access to parking on-site on the driveway parking 1/2 cars. Please make sure to park in the designated spot to avoid any issues.

Keys/Access: A Lock box and key is situated on the property. Details will be sent to you 24 hours prior to check in. If you have any trouble accessing the property, don’t hesitate to contact me.

The Boathouse is perfectly located in the heart of beautiful Goolwa, a vibrant coastal town with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be immersed in the charm of the area, with the waterfront, cafes, shops, galleries, and historic sites all just a short stroll away.

While everything in town is within walking distance, having a car is a great idea if you’re planning to explore more of the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula. Beaches, wineries, hidden coastal gems plus more!

We’re lucky to be part of a friendly and respectful community, so we kindly ask that quiet time is observed between 11pm and 8am out of consideration for our neighbours.

The Boat House is a perfect retreat for families or small groups, comfortably sleeping 8 guests. Please let us know if you are bringing children as a travel cot is available upon request.

An extra guest fee of $35 will apply to guests beyond the 8th guest and will be automatically added to your reservation.

This is a pet-friendly accommodation with a fully fenced backyard. A $100 pet fee will be automatically applied at the time of booking. Please ensure your pet has its own bed, as pets are not permitted inside the house. Any damage or extra cleaning needed will incur in an additional fee. Kindly clean up after your pet, and please note that additional charges may apply if the house rules for pets are not followed.

Snakes: This property is located in an area where native wildlife, including snakes, may be present. Please stay aware of your surroundings, take care when outdoors, and keep doors closed to prevent wildlife from entering the property

Fires: Please be aware that the fire danger season typically runs from November through May. Fires are strictly prohibited on Total Fire Ban days. Guests are responsible for checking current fire restrictions online before lighting any fire. Any fines incurred due to non-compliance during your stay will be your responsibility, and the property owners are not liable for these penalties.

Thanks to The Boathouse’s central location, getting around Goolwa is super easy, most things are just a short walk away. Stroll to the waterfront, cafes, shops, markets, and historic sites all within a 10 minute walk.

If you’re keen to explore beyond town like nearby Port Elliot, Middleton, or the stunning Coorong National Park, having a car will definitely come in handy. There’s plenty to see just a short drive away, making day trips a breeze.
