The Space

Welcome to OHANA, a quirky, character-filled Port Elliot retreat, where retro charm meets relaxed coastal living. Set in a pale pink brick home, the property is full of colour, personality and plenty of spaces to unwind.

As you step through the front door, you’re welcomed into a beautiful dining space with a statement table and gorgeous lighting, the perfect spot for long lunches, shared dinners and evenings with friends. The open-plan kitchen is bright and fun, with everything you need for a relaxed stay, including a great coffee machine for those slow mornings.

The comfortable living room is designed for gathering, with a TV, board games and plenty of space to kick back after a day exploring the Fleurieu.

There are four beautifully styled bedrooms, with one spacious king bedroom and two queen bedrooms, available as part of the standard configuration. Each room features comfortable new beds and the property’s signature red velvet curtains, adding to its quirky and luxurious retro feel.

For families, the kids’ retreat can be opened upon request for an additional fee. This special space features two sets of bunk beds, toys and plenty of room for children to play, making it a wonderful little world of their own. It gives parents the freedom to relax elsewhere in the house while the kids have their own space to enjoy.

Outside, the garden provides another place to explore, while the undercover veranda creates a cosy setting for a BBQ or an evening around the fire pit with a glass of red.

One of the things that makes this property particularly special is the artwork throughout the home. The owner is a talented artist, and her work adds colour, creativity and personality to every room, making the house feel more like a curated retreat than a typical holiday rental.

With its central Port Elliot location, you can leave the car behind and walk to local shops, cafés, restaurants, the oval and Yeo House, or head down to the beach. Whether you’re planning a family escape, a weekend with friends or a relaxed coastal getaway, this home is designed to bring people together, have a little fun and slow down.

Guest Access

Guests will have exclusive access to the entire property during their stay, including the open-plan living and dining areas, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, garden, BBQ, undercover outdoor entertaining area with the fire pit, and three bedrooms (one king and two queen).

The dedicated kids’ retreat with two bunk beds is locked by default and is available for bookings of more than six guests or by prior arrangement with your host. Additional charges apply for use of this space.

The property is self check-in via a lockbox, allowing you to arrive at a time that suits you. Full check-in details and access instructions will be sent prior to your arrival.

Welcome to PORT ELLIOT, one of the Fleurieu Peninsula’s most charming coastal towns. This property puts you right in the heart of it all, making it easy to enjoy the best of Port Elliot without needing to jump in the car.

Take a leisurely stroll into town to discover local cafés, restaurants, boutique shops and much-loved coastal spots. The beach is also close by, perfect for a morning swim, beach walk or sunset wander.

For families, Port Elliot Oval is within easy walking distance and provides a great space for the kids to stretch their legs. Yeo House is also nearby, offering live music, beer on tap, a pool table and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it a great spot for an evening out or family visit.

With bikes available to enjoy, you can explore the surrounding streets and coastline at your own pace. Whether you’re here for a family holiday, a weekend with friends or simply a few days by the sea, the central location means you can slow down, leave the car behind and enjoy Port Elliot on foot.

We have a guide book for your convenience on our Airbnb profile and we will be happy to check in with you when you arrive to make sure everything is perfect. Other things to note

The home comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests in the standard configuration, with the dedicated kids’ retreat kept locked by default.

For bookings of more than 6 guests, the kids’ retreat will automatically be opened to accommodate the additional guests. An additional $45 per person, per stay fee applies for each guest over the initial six guests.

If you have any questions about the sleeping arrangements or would like further information before booking, please reach out to your host.

– Quiet hours are strictly observed from 10 PM to 8 AM—please respect our neighbours and fellow guests.
– Parties and events are not permitted. – The maximum guest occupancy is 10 people and must not be exceeded.
– For safety, please ensure all fires are fully extinguished before leaving the property. The outdoor fire door mustbe supervised at all times. Kindly follow the fire safety instructions provided in the handbook.
– Please note that during fire seasons we will provide enough firewood, kindling and fire lighters for two fires. If you wish to have more wood, please feel free to purchase your own.

Please be aware that the fire danger season typically runs from November through May. Fires are strictly prohibited on Total Fire Ban days. Guests are responsible for checking current fire restrictions online before lighting any fire. Any fines incurred due to non-compliance during your stay will be your responsibility, and the property owners are not liable for these penalties.

Pets:

Pets are welcome by prior arrangement and subject to mutual agreement with the host. A standard pet fee of $100 per stay applies and is not included in the initial booking cost. Guests are responsible for supervising and caring for their pets throughout their stay, including cleaning up after them both inside and outside the property. Any damage, excessive cleaning, or additional maintenance required as a result of a pet’s stay may incur further charges.

Getting Around

The home is centrally located in Port Elliot, making it easy to explore much of the town on foot. Local cafés, restaurants, shops, Port Elliot Oval, Yeo House and the beach are all within easy walking distance.
For those wanting to explore a little further, bikes are available at the property for guests to enjoy, making it easy to cruise around the coastline and discover more of the Fleurieu.
A car is recommended if you’d like to explore beyond Port Elliot, including nearby coastal towns, beaches, wineries and attractions. However, for a relaxed Port Elliot getaway, you can park the car and enjoy plenty right from your doorstep.
